The National Museum of Medieval Art is one of the most important places for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage in Albania. It first opened its doors to the public in 1980 and was located in the former main Cathedral of the city of Korça. In this museum, objects of exceptional value from Byzantine and post-Byzantine culture were preserved, promoted and restored.
